Winegar Dentistry - Implant Crown

Implant Crowns

Crown implants are often the best treatment for missing teeth. When a damaged or decayed tooth is removed, both the visible part of the tooth, called the crown, and the root are lost. A dental implant will replace the tooth root, which will better preserve the bone. Dental implants are the closest you can get to healthy, natural teeth. There are many advantages to dental implants including: improved appearance, speech, comfort, eating, self esteem, oral health & durability.

Winegar Dentistry - Bridge

Crowns

A crown is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. Crowns are often used to improve the strength or appearance of teeth. We can match our crowns to the color of your natural teeth. A crown might be recommended for the following conditions: to replace a filling, protect a weak tooth from fracturing, attach a bridge, cover a dental implant, cover a discolored or poorly shaped tooth or to cover a tooth that has had root canal treatment.

Winegar Dentistry - Crowns

Bridges

A bridge may be recommended if you’re missing one or more teeth. Gaps left by missing teeth eventually cause the remaining teeth to rotate or shift into the empty spaces. Bridges are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth. They span the space where the teeth are missing. Bridges are cemented to the natural teeth or implants surrounding the empty space. As with crowns, we can match the color of the bridge to match your natural teeth.

Winegar Dentistry -Partial Dentures

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are used when an individual has one or more natural teeth remaining. The remaining natural teeth can be saved to preserve your jawbone and provide stability and support for the denture. A partial denture fits over a small number of remaining natural teeth or implants. A partial denture is removable and has internal attachments rather than clasps that attach to the adjacent crowns or implants to give a more natural look.

Winegar Dentistry - Implant Supported Denture

Implant-Supported Dentures

An implant-supported denture is a type of overdenture that is supported by and attached to implants. A regular denture rests on the gums, and is not supported by implants. This type of denture is used when a an individual doesn’t have any teeth in the jaw, but has enough bone in the jaw to support implants. An implant-supported denture has special attachments that snap onto attachments on the implants.

Winegar Dentistry - Veneers

Veneers

A veneer is a layer of material placed over a tooth to either improve the aesthetics of a tooth or to protect the tooth’s surface from damage. Veneers are used to change the color, shape, size, or length of your teeth to improve the overall appearance. We have multiple options available for veneers, so come in and talk to Dr. Winegar about the best choice of material for you.

Winegar Dentistry - Dentures

Dentures

Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and help restore your smile. If you’ve lost all of your natural teeth, whether from gum disease, tooth decay, or injury, replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health. Dentures make it easier to eat and speak — things that people often take for granted. There are two types of dentures: complete and immediate. Complete dentures are removable and are used after the remaining teeth are removed and tissues have healed, which can take a while. Immediate dentures are inserted on the same day that the remaining teeth are removed. Dr. Winegar will take measurements and make models of your jaw during preliminary visits. You won’t have to be without teeth during the healing period.
